Freewheel clutches are an essential component of electric and conventional bicycles. Conventional models require a spring for power transmission. An innovative freewheel clutch from drive technology specialist GMN does away with this. Its new, patent-pending spring-loaded cage geometry offers a whole range of advantages.

The new, resource-saving UH grinding spindles from GMN enable greater productivity and production quality. They achieve their high efficiency thanks to the synchronous drive. Thanks to the IDEA-4S embedded system, they are also the first IIoT-capable models. This makes them part of an overall concept for the digitalization of spindle technology for milling and grinding machines.

Spindles from the new UH series, which can be used for grinding and milling applications, are characterized by significantly higher efficiency and optimised vibration behaviour as well as greater dynamic rigidity. In addition, the integrated IIoT technology "IDEA-4S" offers comprehensive Industry 4.0 connectivity.

GMN decided at the end of 2018 to build a new Assembly Centre with an area of around 1,300 square metres. Working together with the employees, every process and all the workplaces have been optimised. Since the summer of 2020, the drive units have now been installed in the new assembly rooms in a paperless, flexible and efficient manner.

GMN not only develops and manufactures standard high-precision ball bearings but also special bearings and bearing systems for customer-specific solutions.
Very high-precision special ball bearings for challenging applications are a GMN speciality, alongside spindle and deep groove ball bearings.

GMN spindle ball bearings are now also available in the P4+ and UP+ high precision accuracy classes. The new P4+ class is successively replacing the previous DIN P4 and ABEC 7 accuracy classes. The new premium “Ultra Precision” UP+ accuracy class meets even higher requirements for running, shape and dimensional accuracy.

GMN has expanded its range of sealed high precision spindle ball bearings by two, so that there are now three different designs to choose from. Besides the "KH" version for very high speeds, ball bearings of the proven “S” and “SM” designs are now also available with seals. The new variants have been designed specifically for applications that place high demands on speed and load capacity.
