Freewheel clutches are an essential component of electric and conventional bicycles. Conventional models require a spring for power transmission. An innovative freewheel clutch from drive technology specialist GMN does away with this. Its new, patent-pending spring-loaded cage geometry offers a whole range of advantages.

The new, resource-saving UH grinding spindles from GMN enable greater productivity and production quality. They achieve their high efficiency thanks to the synchronous drive. Thanks to the IDEA-4S embedded system, they are also the first IIoT-capable models. This makes them part of an overall concept for the digitalization of spindle technology for milling and grinding machines.

Spindles from the new UH series, which can be used for grinding and milling applications, are characterized by significantly higher efficiency and optimised vibration behaviour as well as greater dynamic rigidity. In addition, the integrated IIoT technology "IDEA-4S" offers comprehensive Industry 4.0 connectivity.

GMN decided at the end of 2018 to build a new Assembly Centre with an area of around 1,300 square metres. Working together with the employees, every process and all the workplaces have been optimised. Since the summer of 2020, the drive units have now been installed in the new assembly rooms in a paperless, flexible and efficient manner.
