Zur hochproduktiven Herstellung von Innenverzahnungen, Steckverzahnungen und sonstigen Innenprofilen führt HORN Werkzeuge für das Wälzschälverfahren ein.

Das Verfahren bietet mehrere Vorteile:

-  Deutlich kürzere Prozesszeiten im Vergleich zum Verzahnungsstoßen

- Auf optimierten Dreh- Fräszentren einsetzbar

- Kein Freistich am Verzahnungsende notwendig

- Dreh- und Verzahnungsoperationen in einer Aufspannung umsetzbar

Abhängig von Zähnezahl und Modulgröße werden unterschiedliche Werkzeugschnittstellen eingesetzt. Jedes Werkzeug wird auf den jeweiligen Einsatzfall ausgelegt und auf den Werkstoff angepasst. Wälzschälwerkzeuge kommen daher bei mittleren und großen Losgrößen zum Einsatz. Auf den Zahnflanken ergeben sich typische Oberflächen, die sich von gestoßenen Zahnflanken unterscheiden. Je nach Bauteilgeometrie kann Wälzschälen auch für Außenverzahnungen eine sinnvolle Alternative zum Abwälzfräsen oder Verzahnungsstoßen sein.
