Sprutcam auch im Weltraum im Einsatz

In den letzten Tagen wurde ein Fernsehbericht der Firma Sprutcam veröffentlicht. Es ging dabei um die Unterstützung des „Google-Lunar X-price Projects“. Dies ist ein Preis, der von Google, sowie von X-price vergeben wird. Es geht darum, dass der erste Entwickler einer Mondraumfähre einen Preis in Höhe von 30 Millionen Dollar erhält.

Verschiedene Teams weltweit bewerben sich um dieses Projekt. Eines davon wird unterstützt von Sprutcam. Die Bearbeitungsteile werden mit Sprutcam programmiert. Ziel der einzelnen Teams muss es sein, einen Mondrover zu bauen, der mindestens 500m auf dem Mond zurücklegt, und dabei Telemetriedaten zurück an die Erde sendet. Dies soll bis zum November 2012 erfolgt sein. Die ersten Starts wurden für September dieses Jahres geplant. Sollte es bis November 2012 niemandem gelingen einen funktionsfähigen Mondrover zu bauen, reduziert sich der Preis von 30 auf 15 Millionen Dollar und verlängert sich um 2 Jahre. Auch sie können das „Google-Lunar X-price Projekt“ unterstützen. Der entsprechende link wird unten angegeben.
