Jongen drills are designed for high-performance chipping of steel, high grade steel, hard to machine materials, cast iron and aluminum. The application of these tools easily allows to create a bore depth up to 3x diameter. Due to the variety of available tool diameters in the range of 14-44mm and close graduation in 0.5mm steps, almost all useful bore dimensions can be manufactured. The tools have a good initial drill penetration, due to a perfect coordination of inserts’ geometries and angles of incidence which provide soft entry in material. Thus, the high process reliability is maintained even with the difficult spot drilling conditions.
