Die SCHOTT SYSTEME GmbH präsentiert auf der METAV 2022 die vollautomatische Bearbeitung prismatischer Werkstücke direkt aus 3D-Volumendaten.

Die in Kürze erscheinende CAD/CAM-Software Pictures by PC Version 3.10 zielt darauf ab, den Fertigungsprozess soweit wie möglich zu automatisieren, um die CNC-Programmierzeiten eines breiten Typenspektrums drastisch zu reduzieren und gleichzeitig die Bearbeitungskonsistenz zu erhöhen. Der gesamte Fertigungsprozess wird via Kommandosequenzen mit der integrierten, objektorientierten Interpreter-Sprache von Pictures by PC gesteuert, ist aber für den Benutzer jederzeit vollkommen transparent.
