Covid-19 hat große Teile der Wirtschaft eiskalt erwischt. Einschneidende Beschränkungen und der Ausfall von branchenrelevanten Veranstaltungen legten bedeutende Vertriebskanäle lahm. Der Maschinenbau und der Messeplatz Deutschland haben einen regelrechten Schock erlitten. Digitale Lösungen wurden daher etabliert. Im Interview berichtet Carl Martin Welcker, Präsident des VDMA und geschäftsführender Gesellschafter der Alfred H. Schütte GmbH in Köln, wie Corona die Digitalisierung vorantreibt.
