The new MT 2500 HD is equipped with fixed table, double cross carriage (X1-Z1 and X2-Z2), with linear motors and multi-spindle turret (opt.), guarantee simultaneous machining of medium and big work-pieces. The MT-HD model of Morara brand grinds in just one clamping railway axles, engine components, turbines, etc., in sizes up to 2500 mm of length, diameters up to 750 mm and 1500 kg in weight between centers. The movement of the wheel units takes place through linear motors, with longitudinal (Z1-Z2) and transversal (X1-X2) speed of 20 m/min. Can be equipped with conventional and/or CBN wheels. The B-Axis guarantees the automatic handling of the wheelhead, also programmable in mode B1-Axis (opt.) for taper corrections, through the Siemens 840D SL CNC.
